A Design Gallery powered by its users

While I was coming back home I got thinking about a small idea I had, there are a lot of design showcase sites like deviantart, cssmania and a lot more, where some lets users host their own stuff and showcase it and some are hosted by the admins.

My idea is to create a simple mashup where you can use different services that you are currently using to showcase your design works and by adding a specific keyword to the description you can add it to the new showcase.

Does it make any sense? It makes only a little sense even to me so will keep you posted on the development of this idea soon enough.
